Job Description.

About us

The NLC Youth Association was founded in 1997 to provide a nurturing, learning, and caring environment to the members of the community. Our collaborative, rewarding and long-standing organization operates a non-profit licensed child development center that serves youth aged newborn to 12 years old with an integrated preschool. An on-site community center provides opportunities for the greater community to fellowship together through various community activities and events.

Our early childhood education center is looking for caring and responsible individuals to fill substitute Infant/Toddler Teacher roles.  You will be responsible for interacting with young children and parents, overseeing projects and activities, and ensuring the well-being of children. The successful candidate for this position loves working with children, and will be dedicated to promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with the children in your classroom.

  • Changes diapers and pull-ups, as needed, and assists students in toileting.

  • Make sure that the children are having fun while learning.

  • Organize activities for the children to do.

  • Understands and adheres to Early Childhood Program Standards and NLC Youth Association Code of Ethics.
